Easy Blues (AKA Mr Jelly Roll Baker)
This is the second recording from my new set up (which I’m still just getting to know). I’m not completely happy with it. For one, the bass note really should be plucked hard – but I can’t be bothered re-recording at this stage. I’d rather wait until I work out some of the embellishments from the original by John Martyn, which this guy and this guy have successfully covered. Also, once again my voice should be louder (compared to the guitar) so I haven’t got the mic position right yet. I don’t want to lose the clarity of the guitar by angling the mic away, but I don’t think my voice is strong enough to rival the guitar from a metre away. Two mics might fix this but my RC-300 doesn’t have two mic inputs. Hmm….
